WILL & TARA

It was a Friday night in Boston, February 2001. I was 17, a high school senior visiting Harvard for the weekend with my friend Kelley. I had been invited to the Harvard freshman formal dance as Will's date. Will, a freshman football player, was close friends with his teammate Dante, my high school friend and Kelley's now-husband.

 

That night, I met Will. He was 19. Confident, charming, and magnetic. I first saw him standing in the doorway of the freshman quad, his face painted crimson and white from a hockey game earlier that evening.

What felt like a fleeting meeting sparked a connection that would ripple across the next 25 years. Life pulled us in and out of each other's worlds like waves and tides, but somehow, our paths always seemed to cross, shaped by timing.

Now, after all these years, we've found our way back to each other, ready to write the next chapter, together.
